Sompunt Lake between La Villa and Badia, freezes over every winter and it is perfectly safe to skate on the surface with no risk at all.

Surrounded by mountain pines and the spectacular Dolomite peaks Lavarella, Conturines and Sas dla Crusc, the Tru Liösa Foram toboggan run, leads right down from the Piz Sorega upland to San Cassiano through dense woodland known as Foram and some snow-covered meadows, enabling lovers of this thrilling pastime to have fun in total safety and enjoy some utterly enchanting views.
Not far from our hotel, in Corvara, is another toboggan run towards the Campolongo pass that can be reached from the Pralongià-Cherz upland. This run snakes along the hunters’ trail along meadows and woodlands to the Planac area. This is also a perfect walking route with marvellous views of the Dolomites.
There is another toboggan run between La Valle and Badia which can be reached on foot or by the chair lift, running from Pedraces to the Santa Croce shrine from where it heads down through the Armentara meadows at the foot of Sas dla Crusc, finally arriving at the hamlet of Spëscia in La Valle.
